Complete Environment

KonyOne is a complete environment built on open standards to support the entire software development life cycle.

Unlike proprietary platforms, KonyOne doesn't make you edit code outside the KonyOne Studio. KonyOne generates complete binaries with metadata ready for submission to employee and consumer app stores. KonyOne also provides unit testing, debugging, and profiling tools.

Proprietary tools require code editing after generation which often results in tool abandonment because subsequent generation overwrites your work.

Foreign Function Interface (FFI)

KonyOne lets you extend the Kony API using FFI. FFI lets you use third-party libraries or your own proprietary technology within KonyOne.

FFI lets you use:

Custom UI widgets
Third-party workflows like barcode scanners, augmented reality, and diagnositc sensors
Non-UI libraries such as security libraries, JavaScript utility libraries, or your own proprietary libraries written in native languages
New native OS features not in the Kony API such as brand new device hardware during OS beta testing.
